Direct uses of coconut-shell charcoal

Overview

Finely ground, feed-grade charcoal is used in some animal feed and veterinary products. Charcoal powder also appears in soaps, face masks, toothpaste, and other personal-care products, where it is valued for its natural image and absorbent properties. These uses follow the relevant feed and cosmetic regulations.

How it works

  1. Charcoal is ground to a fine powder and sieved.
  2. It is tested against the specification for the intended product.
  3. The powder is blended into feed premixes or product formulations.

Why coconut shell

Low-ash coconut-shell charcoal gives a clean, consistent powder from a natural, plant-based source.

This page describes coconut-shell charcoal uses in general. Suitability depends on the charcoal grade and each buyer's requirements.
